Cookie Making at Joy School 12/16/09

Grant didn't like the store bought icing I had used on the last cookies I made, so I thought I'd try out a recipe on my joy school class. And, since the letter of the day was "I", then making cookies and icing them was a perfect activity! Each kid got the chance to cut the cookies out, we read stories as they baked, and they iced them. I gave each of them their own bowl of icing and they picked the color they wanted. I figured they would do more eating then icing, so we avoided any cross-contamination!
