The wait is finally over!!

Yes, we have been in the house for a month now, and we finally have pictures of the house. Since this is only the second blog I have done, I still don't know how to format this thing, so I'll describe the pictures and then show them. I start from the outside of the house and work my way through the front door, entry way, living room (the whole in the wall is where the floor heater used to be before we put central air in last week. That's Abby looking through from the hallway) to dining room to kitchen/laundry room to family room to hall way to master bedroom to bathroom to kids room to 2nd bathroom to entry to the back house. Bonus room to back closet which will eventually be the in-laws kitchen area, up the stairs to bathroom and then 2 bedrooms and finally some pictures of the backyard garage, work area and dog/Troy run. Those of you from California understand that this house is a great deal. But those from Utah and other states might be a little confused. Most homes average at least $400 a sq foot in this area. There was no way we could afford a home that was big enough for our family plus the in-laws. It was a miracle that we found this house in a great area, with a great layout that would be perfect for our situation. Plus, it's huge and there's plenty of room for a growing family. Of course, it does come with some problems which we will be spending the next 20 years working on. Thanks to my very skilled father-in-law, he and Grant will be working to make this home a beautiful place to live. But aside from the visual flaws, we love our home and the kids and Grant & I are very happy here! So enjoy the pictures and feel free to share with me some of your artistic ideas! Even though we're all moved in, these are BEFORE pictures and while it might take years before seeing AFTER pictures, they will come and we will ALL be excited to see them!

Congratulations! What a great place for your family to grow. Although to me it doesn't look bad, it's almost better to have a fixer upper, that way you have an excuse to make it just the way you want. And in the meantime, well you live in CA, so I've heard: "you pay for the weather, the house is free!"

Congrats! I love how your baseball players helped you move....when I moved into my place, eight of my students/track athletes helped me and everyone thought that was weird...apparently, its not!!! Enjoy your new home...by the way, your family is stinkin' adorable!!!!

I totally love it!!! I bet it is way super nice to have some space. Also, I think you should have Jami and Scott flash cards readily available for your kids so they don't forget that we're their favorite :)

We WOULD move to Cali if we could find a deal like you. We're totally convinced we'd be stuck in a one bedroom apartment with 4 kids if we went there but I guess we'd still love it! You lucked out! That's awesome! Jealous!!!
