- We are buying a house about 3 miles from where Stacy grew up. It is quite big but needs a lot of work. We ended up getting it for a good deal, speaking in good-deal-California-terms. My parents are selling their house in Boron and buying this house with us. They will have the back half of the house and we will take the front half. We all feel like we will be able to get along very well since we know that it is for the long term. My dad and I will be putting in a lot of sweat equity (which is interest free by the way).
- Stacy turned 30...I mean 29 plus one year...earlier this month. We had a good time celebrating her birthday. We went to "Wicked" at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Her sister Dena also threw her a party which was a great time.
- Troy is one now. He turned one on the 23rd. We went to take his picture and decided to do a family picture (if you missed it, the picture is on the top banner). He really is a great kid. He loves to help with different projects and is walking very well.
- School starts the day after Labor Day. I am really excited to get back to work. This is the first time that I have felt like my classroom was ready for students. I am teaching ELD 1-3 (31 Students), ELD 5 (15) and Spanish 1/2 (36) along with a once a week Work Experience class (no more than 25).
