THE MOVE, THE BABY...What am I forgetting?

What a week! Troy came to our family. He was born 8 pounds 11 ounces and 21 Inches long...much bigger than our girls who were 19 inches and 7 lbs. 4 ounces and 7 lbs. 1 ounce, respectively. Stacy was the star of the week. Sunday night her Mother flew in from L.A. to help with the packing. Monday was spent getting ready for Tuesday. When that day finally came, Stacy and her Mom packed the rest of the house that Grant didn't get to and Grant packed the trailer and went back to Uhaul to rent another trailer. After 12 hours of organizing and box tape-tearing, the house was almost completely empty.

Everyone then moved into the Best Western in Provo. Grant drew the lucky hide-a-bed with Abby and both slept as sound as a new born on the first night (those who have kids know what I mean). Wednesday came and after a foot massage and a pedicure, Stacy went to see her beloved OB, Dr. Lamoreaux. Then it was off to prepare a Bridal Shower for her soon-to-be Sister-in-law, Brittany. Grant, meanwhile, went to play in his final baseball game in Utah for a long time. After a long night, everyone arrived home (to the hotel) and went to sleep.

Thursday Stacy went into the Hospital at 10:30 a.m. To make a long story short, and less exciting, Troy arrived at 6:11 p.m. after Stacy pushed once. Stacy was sprinting up and down the halls by 8:30. She really is amazing.

Friday and Saturday were filled with visits from family and friends while dining on delicious hospital food. Ashlin is a little mother. She loves to see the baby and stares at him constantly. Luckily she understands what it means to be "soft". When they first arrived at the hospital, I was walking Troy to the nursery to have his first evaluation. Abby was coming down the hall and yelled, "Troy's out!" They are both very excited to have a little brother.

Saturday was also Stacy's Birthday. She turned the "Eternal Age", 29.

Sunday morning we hooked up the trailer and drove the 9 hour trip to La Crescenta in 13 hours. That seems to be a good amount of time in the car after having a baby only a few days previous. Grant's Dad, Richard, drove up after a funeral on Saturday from Boron to take down the second trailer.

Things are very different for us now. Many of these changes are for the best. We love being down here and even Grant is finding himself enjoying the humidity and smoggy valley air. I say these things sarcastically, a little anyway, but I really am happy to be living in one bedroom with my wife and three kids. We have been very blessed to get to this point in our lives.

I received some emails and some phone calls that I needed to get the pictures up for people to see. I apologize for not having them up sooner. I just haven't had a chance to unpack the computer until tonight.

Tomorrow I go in for my second day of teacher orientation. This morning was the first time that I had to tell Abby that I couldn't play with her because, " Dad has to go to work."

Thank you for your interest. We love you all and hope that you are doing as well as we are...maybe even better.

"Troy's out!" Too cute. Pass my congratulations on to Stacy.
Welcome back to the CA, friend! La Crescenta's nice, but we all know it ain't no Mojave.

Congratulations to one of our favorite little families. However, I noticed there wasn't any mention of Stacy thrashing on a pole in the bathroom during labor. What's up with that?

You forgot to mention Abby's "feeding the baby" comments. Although, maybe you didn't want to mention that on the internet :)

Hey guys! I had talked to Stacy awhile back and she told me about your upcoming move but not about that baby!! Congrats!! The move to three is a brave one!! Hope you are all doing well in Cali-we're still stuck in Orem so we're jealous! Tell Stacy I'm bummed she won't be able to deliver my next baby but assure her that castor oil will be involved!
