JV Soccer

Grant had a good time coaching JV soccer this year. They ended with a record of 1-6-5. Apparently this was a better record then last year. Grant ran a really great team that was really good at tying games, they just had a hard time getting that extra goal. We enjoyed going to the games and watching dad coach. He even got a yellow card once, I was so proud! This game was actually held at the CV soccer field. Most home, JV games, are at Clark Junior High. It's a really cruddy field. Because of some rain-outs, Grant was able to get the High School field since there wasn't anyone else playing on it. They took this as a photo op. The kids have learned to stay off the field during the games (which is only a foot away), but as soon as the whistle blows, they run out to give daddy a hug! The soccer plays are great with the kids. They have a lot of fun playing with them. We even had the whole team over to our house for a pasta party. All 18 kids were in our living room. At one point they went outside in the pouring rain and played with Troy's blow up baseball tee and bat.
